Are you ready to power the future of sustainable building design? My client is a leading multidisciplinary engineering consultancy known for delivering innovative, low-energy, and high-performance building projects across Ireland and the UK. Were now looking for an Electrical Design Engineer to join our growing Building Services team and contribute to a range of exciting developments in commercial, residential, healthcare, education, and transport sectors. Responsabilities Lead and contribute to the design of electrical building services systems including lighting, power, fire alarms, security, and renewable technologies. Collaborate closely with mechanical, sustainability, and digital engineering teams to deliver low-carbon, energy-efficient solutions. Produce detailed designs, calculations, and specifications using Revit, AutoCAD, and other modern design tools. Participate in client and design meetings, technical reviews, and site inspections taking ownership of your work from concept to completion. Stay up to date with emerging technologies such as smart buildings, EV charging infrastructure, and energy management systems, bringing fresh thinking to every project. Requirements A degree in Electrical or Building Services Engineering (or equivalent). 2+ years experience within a consultancy environment, ideally in Ireland or the UK. Strong technical knowledge of building electrical systems and current design standards. Proficiency in AutoCAD; experience with Revit, Amtech, or Dialux is advantageous. Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with confidence engaging clients and multidisciplinary teams.
