Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer Armed Mobile Patrol in Crozier, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help discourage security-related incidents, and support access activities with professionalism. This role offers the opportunity to deliver strong customer service, communicate clearly, and work with a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity.
Position Type: Part Time
Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour
Job Schedule:
DayTimeSat04:00 PM - 12:00 AMSun08:00 AM - 04:00 PMWhat You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or members of the public while carrying out site-specific procedures, access control duties, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns according to site protocols.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas, verify identification and/or credentials, and support authorized access procedures for staff, contractors, and visitors.
- Operate within post orders and applicable use-of-force guidelines, maintain readiness of assigned equipment, and communicate with supervisors and/or local authorities when circumstances require.
Minimum Requirements:
- An armed guard card and/or license is required.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
