Summary IT Solutions Engineer / Analyst III This role plays a critical part in keeping APS's technology reliable, scalable, and ready for the future. As an IT Solutions Engineer / Analyst III, you'll design, build, and support software, data, and AIenabled systems that power essential energy operations and customerfacing platforms. With growing demand for intelligent digital solutions, this role leverages
Artificial Intelligence agent development (including Copilot Studio) ,
SQL expertise , and
Python/objectoriented programming
to strengthen system performance, improve reliability, and support clean energy initiatives that directly benefit the communities we serve across Arizona. As a
selfstarter who is outcomedriven and collaborative , you'll partner across teams to deliver practical, highimpact solutions that move the business forward. What Your Day Would Be Like: Designing, developing, and enhancing fullstack and AIenabled solutions that support missioncritical energy operations and selfservice platforms Building, maintaining, and troubleshooting applications using
Python, SQL, and objectoriented programming principles
to improve system performance, scalability, and reliability Developing and supporting
AI agents and automation solutions , including work in
Copilot Studio , to improve efficiency and user experience Collaborating closely with crossfunctional teams to deliver modern, outcomefocused solutions aligned with business needs Supporting mobile and web platforms through continuous improvement and endtoend production lifecycle support Applying strong engineering judgment to solve complex software, data, and system challenges that impact customers and grid operations
Who We're Looking For: Experience developing and supporting fullstack applications with strong
Python and objectoriented programming
skills Structured Query Language (SQL)
expertise for working with datadriven applications and systems Knowledge of or experience with
Artificial Intelligence agent development , including tools such as
Copilot Studio Familiarity with modern frameworks, tools, and environments (e.g., Java, JavaScript, Spring Boot, Angular, React, Django, CI/CD pipelines) Ability to troubleshoot complex system and application issues in Linux and Windows environments A
selfstarter and collaborative problemsolver

Minimum Requirements IT Solutions Engineer / Analyst III Bachelors' degree in Information Technology or related field PLUS
five (5) years of prior relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and directly related experience. Requires strong technical knowledge within a job area or system and basic knowledge across related technical areas
Preferred Special Skills, Knowledge or Qualifications: Knowledge of multiple programming languages, database management systems and development platforms Skills in understanding and explaining highly technical issues and solutions in non-technical terms; working effectively in teams and across organizations; balancing and prioritizing between multiple work streams; collaborating with colleagues and teams in different fields across a diverse organization; solving advanced complex problems in own area of work
Major Accountabilities 1) Designs, develops, troubleshoots, and debugs software programs for enhancements and new products and/or in support of design, infrastructure and technology platforms 2) Analyzes and assists with creating reusable and enterprise-level modules/applications 3) Conducts performance reviews and recommends improvements to existing codes 4) Reviews and recommends equipment, resources and software 5) Recommends changes in development, maintenance and system standards. 6) Trains users in conversion and implementation of system 7) Conduct integration system testing and evaluations 8) Leads the design, development and implementation of new solutions
