Job Summary and Responsibilities Up to $2500 Sign On Bonus Offered Paid out in FULL after 30 days of employment! Location: CUMC-Bergan Campus 77th & Mercy Schedule: Part-Time (20hrs a week) 3 days a week (2-8hr days and 1-4hr day) CHI Health is looking to add a part-time Medical Assistant / Certified Medical Assistant (NOT Med Aide / CNA) to our amazing OB team located at the CUMC-Bergan campus!! This position will support our healthcare teams by ensuring they have everything they need in order to care for our patients. They also play a huge role in a patient’s experience and prep when they visit any of our clinics. We couldn’t do it without you! Performs general patient care following established clinic workflows.
Performs general patient care following established clinic workflows.
Greets and prepares patients for the health care provider by obtaining and recording vital signs, reviewing drug allergies and current medications, completing applicable screening questionnaires and documenting reason for visit.
Collects and prepares ordered specimens for laboratory analysis.
Prepares and provides ordered medications and/or vaccines to patients.
Cleans and sterilizes instruments.
Ensures patient exam rooms are stocked, clean, and orderly.
Escalates non-routine issues, questions and/or concerns timely and appropriately.
Ensures safety checklists and quality controls are completed as required and necessary action taken if indicated.
Performs other duties within scope of role as assigned.
**CHI Health requires that ALL Medical Assistants / Certified Medical Assistants MUST be a g raduate of a medical assisting program accredited by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) or Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education (CAAHEP) Job Requirements Minimum Qualifications:
Graduate of a medical assisting program accredited by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) or Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education (CAAHEP)
Successfully completed Medication Aide 40-hour course or current/valid
Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
