Job Summary: The SHE Intern will assist the Safety, Health and Environmental Department in ensuring compliance will all relevant regulations and company policies, This position offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands on experience in a dynamic manufacturing environment that encompasses electronics manufacturing, product assembly, and minor machining. This position will directly contribute to the continuous improvement of Altronic's SHE Programs. Key responsibilities:
Safety/Health:
Assist in conducting Safety Inspections and audits to identify potential hazards. Support and directly implement outlined corrective actions and opportunities for improvement to mitigate identified risks. Participate in the development and delivery of safety training programs for employees. Assist in the investigation of incidents and near-misses, and contribute to the review of metrics related to safety incidents. Help generate, maintain, and update safety records and documentation. Assist in the monitoring of occupational health programs and initiatives. Support ergonomic assessments and recommend improvements to reduce workplace injuries.
Environmental:
Assist in conducting environmental impact assessments and audits. Support the implementation of waste reduction and recycling programs. Help monitor compliance with environmental regulations and standards. Participate in sustainability initiatives and projects aimed at reducing the plant's environmental footprint.
Qualifications:
Currently pursuing a degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field. Strong interest in SHE Management in a manufacturing environment. Excellent analytical and problem solving skills. Effective Communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point). Basic understanding of SHE Regulations and standards is a plus. What Altronic Offers:
