About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Premises / General Liability Defense Attorney to join our Dallas office in a hybrid capacity. This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse caseload involving premises liability, general negligence, and other liability defense matters while collaborating with a supportive and high-performing legal team.
Key Responsibilities
Handle all aspects of litigation from inception through trial, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, motion practice, and trial preparationIndependently manage a caseload of premises liability and general liability mattersProvide strategic legal analysis and develop case strategies aligned with client goalsCommunicate effectively with clients, carriers, opposing counsel, and the courtMeet a 1,900 annual billable hour requirement while maintaining high-quality work product
Qualifications
J.D. from an accredited law schoolActive license to practice law in Texas2-8+ years of experience in premises liability and/or general liability defense (flexible depending on level)Strong litigation skills, including experience taking and defending depositions and drafting motionsTrial experience is a plus, but not requiredExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment
