About the Position:
Doyle Auctioneers & Appraisers is seeking a full-time Accounts Payable Analyst to join our New York team. Doyle is a respected auction house with a long-standing presence in the fine art and collectibles market, known for its expertise and collaborative culture.
This role is ideal for an early-career professional looking to build experience in finance and accounting. The position supports vendor remittances, customer payables, and auction-related administrative operations, while providing hands-on exposure to a range of accounting and operational functions in a fast-paced environment.
This is a full-time, in-office position offering competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package.
Key Responsibilities:
Process billing, remittances, and maintain organized and accurate filing systemsProvide support for internal and external audit activities, including document preparation and reconciliationReview and verify payments against source documentation, invoices, and Positive Pay recordsAssist in managing consignor accounts payable, including processing payments via check and bank transferMaintain company vehicle records, including registrations, insurance documentation, and related compliance itemsSupport sale-day operations, including online bid clerking, equipment setup, and phone bidding coordinationAssist with licensing and regulatory requirements across multiple office locationsPerform data entry, processing, and support basic financial analysis and reporting
Qualifications:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field requiredFoundational knowledge of general ledger coding and accounts payable processesPrior internship or experience in Accounts Payable or accounting support is a plusStrong organizational skills with a high level of attention to detailExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with an emphasis on ExcelDemonstrated ability to learn and navigate multiple database systems
