Title Temporary Part-time: CTE Surgical Technology Program Student Coach Overview Camden County College (CCC) is a leading two-year community College with campuses in Blackwood, Cherry Hill and Camden, New Jersey. In addition, the college operates a Regional Emergency Training Center to educate and train police and fire academy professionals as well as a partnership with the Joint Health Sciences Center in the Camden City educational hub. Location Blackwood Campus Department Math, Science & Health Days and Hours 25 hours per week-flexible Requisition NumberPosition GoalsJob DescriptionPOSITION GOALS 1. Provide CTE Surgical Technology Program students with clear pathways into the CTE Program and guidance through completion. 2. Provide intrusive classroom and laboratory support and advising. 3. Provide intensive tutoring and retention support to students in CTE Surgical Technology Programs in order to: - Increase course completion and student success - Increase placement success 4.Provide non-traditional career exposure and career placement support for the CTE Surgical Technology students. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS1. Ability to work directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds, demonstrating and promoting a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion. 2. Provide advisement to CT Surgical Technology Program Students 3. Tutor CTE Surgical Technology Program students throughout the academic year. 4. Provide tutoring support to Surgical Technology students during open laboratory session. 5. Comply with all safety, fire, and smoking regulations. 6. Complete all mandatory compliance and safety training as scheduled by Human Resources. 7. Perform all other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications 1. Associate's degree in a related CTE Surgical Technology Program preferred. 2. Certification in Surgical Technology (CST preferred). 3. Experience in teaching, coaching, tutoring or mentoring preferred.
