VDC (Virtual Design & Construction) Manager

JOB BRIEF:
Provide electrical design and coordination services to electrical project teams, assisting them in increasing accuracy, efficiency, and productivity on the jobsite, with the use of BIM coordination, detailed shop drawings, and prefabrication assemblies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Manage the production and timeline for VDC teams of multiple projects, best utilizing their strengths to assure BIM deliverables related to project schedules are met. Schedule and track BIM efforts to allow project teams to understand the status of a project and establish goals for the VDC team while ensuring they are using time productively, maximizing efficiency, and meeting their goals. Review and interpret contract drawings and specifications to understand the specific requirements of the project. Coordinate design and BIM models with project teams during the VDC process, provide timely shop drawings in line with the requirements of the operations team and construction schedule. Resolve coordination issues and clashes in house and with other contractors through project coordination meetings as necessary. Create fabrication level shop drawings and details for prefab and field use. QUALIFICATIONS:
5 years of electrical field experience as an electrician/foreman preferred; BIM and construction coordination certifications preferred. 2 years of project layout experience. Working knowledge or Experience using Software such as AutoCAD MEP - 3D/Revit - Evolve Electrical - MEP/Navisworks. (will train for the proper candidate) Knowledge of the National Electric Code and other construction industry standards and methods Excellent written and verbal communication Organized, and systematic to focus on detailed tasks, while multitasking between projects. Must be a strong team player and leader. Self-starter and motivated to work efficiently and effectively. BENEFITS:
