POSITION DESCRIPTION:

In a context of growth and an increasing number of construction projects, we are looking to recruit a versatile and reliable construction labourer capable of effectively supporting site teams in the execution of work. This position plays an essential role in the smooth running of daily activities, in close collaboration with foremen and the various trades.


ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assisting with the installation and dismantling of temporary structures (fences, barriers, etc.)
  • Ensure cleanliness and maintain order on the construction site
  • Perform various related tasks as needed on the construction site
  • Report any risky or problematic situation to the foreman
  • Respect health and safety standards at all times
  • Collaborate with the various stakeholders on the construction site
  • Participate in general site work in support of the teams (carpenters and other trades)
  • Perform simple construction, demolition or handling tasks
  • Prepare, transport and handle materials and equipment
  • Supply work areas with materials as needed

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Valid CCQ competency card
  • Experience on construction sites (an asset)
  • Good knowledge of health and safety standards on construction sites
  • Good knowledge of spoken French
  • Valid driver's license (an asset)
