Execute a variety of routine and cutting-edge clinical laboratory tests in areas such as chemistry, hematology, and immunology, following established procedures. Assess test results for precision, troubleshoot any discrepancies, and conduct preventive maintenance and calibration on laboratory equipment. Support specimen collection processes and prepare samples as required for testing. Keep comprehensive records of all procedures, train new hires or students, and maintain high laboratory quality standards. Ensure a safe, clean workspace while adhering to regulatory guidelines and accreditation standards. Education
A Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or an equivalent allied health degree, along with preparation for ASCP/AMT certification. Certifications
Attain ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) within the first year of employment. Ensure ongoing certification is maintained throughout your career. Skills
Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities for effective teamwork. Proficient in exercising independent judgment and problem-solving, particularly in fast-paced environments.
