Since 1990, Veterinary Surgical Specialists of Orange County (VSSOC) has been at the forefront of veterinary surgical medicine, successfully treating thousands of beloved pets and earning the trust of referring veterinarians across Southern California. Our board-certified surgeons serve the community 7 days a week, bringing nearly 70 years of combined experience to every case, performing the most progressive and sophisticated procedures using state-of-the-art equipment and minimally invasive techniques. Our surgeons are skilled across the full spectrum of advanced specialties - including orthopedic, soft tissue, reconstructive, neurological, oncological, and cardiothoracic surgery - ensuring that even the most complex cases receive expert, compassionate care. As one of the first specialty practices in the nation to earn the Accredited Referral Practice designation from the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA), we are held to exceptionally high standards across more than 900 aspects of our practice - a distinction that reflects our unwavering commitment to clinical excellence and patient safety. We recently celebrated a landmark milestone: the opening of our brand-new, 10,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art Surgery Center, purpose-built to support the next generation of advanced surgical care. Ideal Candidate Our caseload spans complex soft tissue, orthopedic, and specialty surgical procedures, supported by a full critical care team, advanced imaging, and a collaborative, experienced clinical staff. Base salary for a Veterinary Surgeon has a start range of $275-$325 K 25% production Sign-on and relocation bonus Generous paid time off (PTO) Paid parental leave Medical, vision, and dental plan options Mental health support through Talkspace Continuing education allowance with dedicated CE PTO Reimbursement of membership and licensure fees 401(k) retirement plan with company match Basic life insurance and additional voluntary insurance options
