As a General Surgery Physician with Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Kentucky, you will be inspired by the community you serve as a valued member of the Lifepoint Health team, a nationally recognized healthcare organization committed to caring with a local heart. Position Details:

  • 5 provider group: 3 surgeons/2 experienced APPs

  • Ambulatory practice on hospital campus

  • Intensivist-staffed ICU

  • Inpatient and Outpatient Wound Care

  • Average patient per clinic day: 15-20

  • 3 DaVinci XI Robots

  • Call: 1:4

  • Locum support to ensure a work-life balance.

  • APP covers inpatient rounding

  • Dedicated OR assists

Office Practice:

  • 8a-5p Mon-Thur. 8a-2p Fri.

  • Staffed with an on-site manager, nurses, office clerks, and a scheduler.

  • Patients are booked in 15-, 30-, or 60-minute increments.

  • Common procedures: excision of skin lesions, I&D of abscesses or seromas, anoscopy & hemorrhoid banding
