Product Operations Architect
Serves as a leader and systems thinker who drives operational excellence across a product portfolio or domain, setting the standard for how teams plan, deliver, and measure success. As an architect, scales frameworks that ensure strategic alignment, delivery confidence, and operational clarity across multiple teams. Serves as a resource to solve business problems, fixing the current or designing new solution. Essential Functions
Defines and implements operational strategies for a portfolio of product teams or a large capability area. Leads complex, cross-functional initiatives that span products, platforms, or business units. Designs and scales planning frameworks, readiness checklists, value tracking, and tooling strategies. Partners with senior product and engineering leadership to drive accountability and strategic alignment. Drives initiative health reviews, delivery metrics, and OKR operating rhythms at the portfolio level. Identifies systemic bottlenecks and implement solutions that streamline workflows across teams. Acts as a subject matter expert and mentor to Product Ops Managers and Senior Managers. Represents Product Operations in executive forums, roadmap reviews, and transformation initiatives. Performs other duties as assigned. Location Details: This position is eligible for remote work and may be located anywhere within the United States excluding AK, HI and U.S. territories, however if you live within the 50 miles radius of a campus you will be required to work at a FedEx campus location several times per week. Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in business or related field. In lieu of a degree, 9 years of practical experience may offset education requirements. Minimum Experience: Five years in product operations, agile portfolio management, or digital delivery leadership. Demonstrated success leading operations for complex portfolios or high-risk strategic programs. Experience leading portfolio planning cycles and managing multi-quarter roadmaps. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Deep understanding of business value frameworks, initiative scoring, and prioritization methods. Expert in Agile, SAFe, and enterprise planning and delivery tools (e.g., Planview, Jira, ADO). Exceptional communication and executive presence—able to influence across levels and functions. Strategic thinker who thrives in ambiguity and excels at building order from complexity. Proven track record in org-wide tooling or process transformation initiatives.
