The Dealer Development Consultant will lead and manage dealers relationships to market company products and services and assists in the development of dealer sales capability, market development, project development, project execution, commissioning, technicians, and aftermarket services./ppWhat You Will Do:/pulliUnderstanding of business models and acting within the business process guidance on review./liliDesigning and assisting dealers on the process of forecast, sales/rental/used strategy planning, and sales techniques, supporting the rollout of new products./liliLeading the training and process development of selling opportunities identification, customer satisfaction improvement and business relationship enhancement./liliPrimary Point of Contact for the Dealer leadership team across all LEPS matters except commercial./liliBusiness and Performance Governance, Dealer Profiles/liliSegment Growth Council Coordination/liliDealer Capability Assessments 2.0/liliPerformance Management Metrics / DDC/liliProcess Implementation Adoption/liliAged Dealer Inventory Management/li/ulpWhat You Will Have:/ppCustomer Focus: Knowledge of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and ability to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions./ppIndustry Knowledge: Knowledge of the organizations industry group, trends, directions, major issues, regulatory considerations, and trendsetters; ability to apply industry knowledge appropriately to diverse situations./ppDecision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment./ppEffective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors./ppRelationship Management: Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers./ppBusiness Development: Knowledge of business development tools, techniques and approaches; ability to explore and develop potential areas of business growth for the organization./ppTop Candidates Will Also Have:/pulliIndustry Experience working with dealers./liliBasic understanding of Caterpillars products and services./liliWorking with cross-functional teams for project management./li/ulpAdditional Information:/pulliThis position is located in San Diego, CA or Irving, TX./liliTravel up to 40-50% is required./liliDomestic relocation assistance is offered for this position./liliVisa sponsorship is not offered for this position./liliThis position requires the candidate to work a 5-day-a-week schedule in the office./li/ulpFinal Details:/ppThis employer is not currently hiring foreign national applicants that require or will require sponsorship tied to a specific employer, such as H, L, TN, F, J, E, O.
