The Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for ensuring SureWerx physical products meet internal quality requirements, industry standards, and safety expectations before reaching customers. This role supports quality assurance activities within a product distribution and operational environment, including inspections, audits, documentation, compliance regulations and continuous improvement efforts.
This is a 100% onsite role based in our Elgin, Illinois corporate headquarters. Applicants must live within a reasonable commute distance to the Elgin, Illinois office. This role is focused on product quality, regulatory compliance and process adherence -
not software testing or application development.
Core Responsibilities:
Compliance & Auditing:
• Assist in developing and maintaining a product regulatory compliance program for all products.
• Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with company standards and applicable industry requirements.
Documentation & Reporting:
• Accurately document inspection results, non-conformances, and quality metrics
• Prepare reports and summaries for internal teams and leadership.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
• Partner with Operations, Product, Supply Chain and other internal stakeholders to resolve quality issues and improve product performance and regulatory compliance.
Quality Management Systems:
• Review, document, and update quality procedures, work instructions and technical documentation.
• Support corrective and preventative action activities related to product or process issues.
Product Inspection & Analysis:
• Assist in identifying defects or quality concerns and develop a root cause analysis corrective action plan.
• Assist in performing and documenting inbound, in-process, and outbound product inspections against established specifications and standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications Experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Control within a manufacturing, warehouse, distribution or product-based environment Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify subtle defects or deviations Ability to interpret and understand product specifications, procedures, and quality and regulatory standards Must be able to take initiative and work independently Comfortable working in a hands-on, operational settings Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly document findings, explain quality issues, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and quality documentation tools Working knowledge of ISO 9001 or similar quality management systems. Possible domestic travel to other locations
Education & Experience
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent hands-on experience in Quality Control or Quality Assurance.
