Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer Experienced Armed Patrol in Fairfax, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this dynamic role, you will support a caring environment while working with a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity every day.

Pay Rate: $21.74 / Hour
Job Schedule:

- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, notification of appropriate personnel, and detailed incident reporting.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations while maintaining awareness of security-related concerns and unusual activity.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access, support visitor management processes, and follow post orders for an armed patrol assignment.
- Support healthcare personnel during urgent situations by assisting with crowd control, escort duties, and coordination with law enforcement and/or emergency responders when needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
- Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
- Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
