*Job Summary*
The Senior Development Consultant is responsible for leading the design, development, and maintenance of complex software applications and database systems that meet organizational and client needs. This role provides technical leadership, strategic guidance, and oversight across projects, ensuring high-quality, scalable, and efficient solutions. The Senior Development Consultant will make architecture decisions, mentor Development Consultant team members, and drive best practices in application and database development. This position requires the ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and influence cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

*Essential Duties and Responsibilities*
* Design, code, test, and debug and database/SQL solutions in a variety
* Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex software applications and database solutions.
* Define system architecture, development standards, and best practices to ensure performance, scalability, and maintainability.
* Collaborate with stakeholders and clients at all levels to gather requirements, define project scope, and provide strategic recommendations.
* Write clean, scalable, and efficient code using a variety of programming languages (T-SQL, Java, Python, C#, JavaScript, Swift, etc.).
* Develop and maintain front-end and back-end solutions for web, mobile, and desktop applications.
* Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior and mid-level developers, including code reviews, training, and problem-solving support.
* Conduct thorough testing of applications and databases to ensure high performance, security, and reliability.
* Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues and provide proactive recommendations for continuous improvement.
* Stay current with emerging technologies, frameworks, and industry best practices, and evaluate their applicability to organizational needs.
* Recommend and implement enhancements to development processes, architectures, and tooling to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
* Document application architecture, development standards, and changes to support knowledge sharing and maintainability.
* Lead cross-functional project teams to ensure successful delivery of initiatives, including integration with ERP systems and other enterprise platforms.
* Contribute to long-term technology strategy, including cloud adoption, system upgrades, and innovation initiatives.
*Position Details, Work Environment & Physical Requirements*
* Standard office hours for this role are Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm local time zone.
* This is a full-time, exempt role.
* This is a remote role with eligibility to work from approved states in the United States.
* Ability to sit for extended periods and use a computer and keyboard for long durations. Frequent typing and use of a mouse, with fine motor skills required for accurate data entry and navigation. Must be able to maintain good posture and adjust seating and workstation to minimize physical strain.
*Education, Qualifications & Experience*
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in software and database development, with a proven track record of delivering complex, data-driven solutions.
* Strong expertise in SQL Server, Microsoft T-SQL, and relational database development; experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) preferred.
* Proficiency in multiple programming languages and frameworks (e.g., Java, C#, Python, Swift, JavaScript, .NET, Node.js).
* Experience with front-end frameworks (React, Angular, Vue.js) and mobile application development (iOS/Android) a plus.
* Experience in architectural, engineering, construction, or finance industries preferred; experience with integrated ERP systems (Vista by Trimble, Microsoft Dynamics, Sage 300, JD Edwards) preferred.
* Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC), agile methodologies, and version control systems (Azure DevOps, Git).
* Proven ability to lead technical projects, mentor team members, and influence stakeholders.
* Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
* Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with clients and executives effectively.
* Current state-issued driver’s license, clean driving record, reliable transportation, and proof of valid auto insurance.
*Helpful to Have:*
* Knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or IBM DB2.
* Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps).
* Integration experience using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
* Crystal Reports development.
* SSH/PowerShell scripting experience.
