Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Real Estate/Commercial Lawyer to support our legal team. The ideal candidate will have experience assisting with real estate transactions, due diligence, and document preparation. You will play a key role in ensuring that transactions run smoothly, deadlines are met, and all documentation complies with legal requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist lawyers with real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and financing matters.
- Conduct preliminary due diligence, including title searches, reviewing property documents, and identifying potential issues.
- Draft, prepare, and organize legal documents, such as purchase and sale agreements, leases, mortgages, and ancillary contracts.
- Maintain accurate records of transactions, correspondence, and supporting documentation.
- Coordinate with clients, notaries, lenders, and other stakeholders to ensure timely completion of transactions.
- Track deadlines and manage calendars to support lawyers in meeting critical timelines.
- Conduct legal research under supervision to support complex transactions.
- Assist in preparing internal reports, closing binders, and transaction summaries.
- Support compliance and risk management efforts by reviewing documents for completeness and accuracy.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Diploma or degree in Paralegal Studies or equivalent; training in real estate law is an asset.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in real estate law, preferably in a transactional setting.
- Strong knowledge of real estate documentation, contracts, and filing procedures.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in French and English.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal document management systems.
- Experience in both commercial and residential real estate transactions.
- Familiarity with civil law principles as they apply to property transactions across Canada.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced legal environment.

Nous sommes à la recherche d’un(e) Avocat en immobilier commercial rigoureux(se) et soucieux(se) du détail, pour soutenir notre équipe juridique. Le/la candidat(e) idéal(e) possède une expérience en transactions immobilières, en vérifications diligentes et en préparation de documents. Vous jouerez un rôle clé afin d’assurer le bon déroulement des transactions, le respect des échéanciers et la conformité de toute la documentation aux exigences légales.
Responsabilités principales :
- Assister les avocats dans les transactions immobilières, y compris les acquisitions, dispositions, baux et financements.
- Effectuer des vérifications diligentes préliminaires, incluant des recherches de titres, l’examen de documents immobiliers et l’identification de problématiques potentielles.
- Rédiger, préparer et organiser des documents juridiques tels que des promesses d’achat et de vente, des baux, des hypothèques et des contrats connexes.
- Maintenir des dossiers précis des transactions, de la correspondance et des documents justificatifs.
- Coordonner avec les clients, notaires, prêteurs et autres parties prenantes afin d’assurer la réalisation des transactions dans les délais.
- Assurer le suivi des échéanciers et gérer les calendriers afin d’aider les avocats à respecter les délais critiques.
- Effectuer des recherches juridiques sous supervision pour appuyer des transactions complexes.
- Participer à la préparation de rapports internes, de cartables de clôture et de résumés de transactions.
- Contribuer aux efforts de conformité et de gestion des risques en vérifiant l’exhaustivité et l’exactitude des documents.
Qualifications et expérience :
- Diplôme d’études collégiales ou universitaires en techniques juridiques ou équivalent; une formation en droit immobilier constitue un atout.
- Minimum de 5 ans d’expérience en droit immobilier, idéalement dans un contexte transactionnel.
- Excellente connaissance de la documentation immobilière, des contrats et des procédures de dépôt.
- Excellentes compétences organisationnelles, souci du détail et capacité à gérer plusieurs priorités.
- Excellentes compétences en communication écrite et orale en français et en anglais.
- Maîtrise de la suite Microsoft Office et des systèmes de gestion de documents juridiques.
- Expérience en transactions immobilières commerciales et résidentielles.
- Connaissance des principes de droit civil applicables aux transactions immobilières au Canada.
- Capacité à travailler de façon autonome et en équipe dans un environnement juridique dynamique.
