À propos

LifeBridge Health is a regional healthcare organization in Maryland providing a comprehensive continuum of care, including hospitals, specialty centers, and community health-related operations. We are seeking a dedicated Respiratory Care Prac-RRT to join our Healthcare & Medical Services department and contribute to our mission of delivering compassionate, high‑quality patient care. In this role, you will provide comprehensive respiratory care to patients across a variety of clinical settings, including emergency, critical care, and general inpatient units. Working collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other members of the interdisciplinary team, you will assess patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary disorders, develop and implement individualized care plans, and deliver evidence‑based therapeutic interventions. You will be responsible for performing respiratory assessments, administering medications and therapeutic gases, initiating and managing invasive and non‑invasive mechanical ventilation, conducting arterial blood gas sampling and analysis, and monitoring patients’ responses to therapy, making adjustments in collaboration with the care team. You will participate in rapid response and code situations, providing airway management, ventilator support, and resuscitative measures in accordance with established protocols. The Respiratory Care Prac-RRT will also provide patient and family education on respiratory conditions, equipment use, and self‑management strategies to promote optimal outcomes and reduce readmissions. Documentation of all assessments, interventions, and patient responses will be completed accurately and timely in the electronic medical record, ensuring clear communication and continuity of care. LifeBridge Health’s culture emphasizes collaboration, innovation, and community engagement. As part of this team, you will be encouraged to contribute to quality improvement initiatives, implement evidence‑based best practices in respiratory care, and participate in clinical projects aimed at enhancing safety, efficiency, and patient experience. You may assist in the orientation and mentoring of students and less experienced staff, helping to foster a supportive learning environment focused on continuous improvement in healthcare delivery. Working at LifeBridge Health offers significant opportunities for career advancement and professional development. Respiratory Care Prac-RRT team members are supported through ongoing education, access to specialized training in advanced modalities (such as high‑flow therapy, advanced ventilator modes, and non‑invasive ventilation), and opportunities to become involved in specialty service lines such as critical care, neonatal and pediatric care, or pulmonary rehabilitation, depending on organizational needs. You will be part of a team dedicated to improving health and promoting well‑being in diverse communities, providing culturally competent care and advocating for patient needs. The ideal candidate is a Registered Respiratory Therapist with strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to compassionate patient care. You should be comfortable working in a fast‑paced hospital environment, managing multiple priorities, and collaborating closely with an interdisciplinary team. Flexibility to work a rotating schedule, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed for patient care coverage, is expected. This position offers a competitive compensation package, comprehensive benefits, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of patients and families across the LifeBridge Health system.
