1st Shift Quality Assurance Technicians
on behalf of one of our premier manufacturing partners—an industry leader that designs and builds equipment powering the nation’s infrastructure. From utilities to telecommunications and other essential services, this organization is known for American-made quality, craftsmanship, and a strong commitment to community impact. Responsibilities: Monitor operations to ensure compliance with production and quality standards. Suggest adjustments to assembly and manufacturing processes. Inspect, test, and measure materials and products. Operate and evaluate equipment as needed. Use precision measuring tools such as rulers, calipers, gauges, and micrometers. Read electrical and/or hydraulic schematics. Read weldment part prints and specifications. Communicate inspection findings with appropriate personnel. Document and report inspection and testing results. Approve or reject completed products based on quality standards. Collect and record audit data to monitor quality trends and metrics. Collaborate with suppliers to address and resolve quality concerns. Maintain calibration records and ensure tools are properly calibrated. Support and contribute to a closed-loop quality system. Assist in identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions. Work effectively in a team environment, follow directions, and seek clarification when needed. Interact with customers as needed, perform inspections, and assist with minor field repairs. Participate in quality meetings and continuous improvement efforts. Cross-train and assist in other areas to support production demands. Help train and support new and existing team members. Follow all safety, environmental, and quality procedures, including proper use of PPE. Maintain a clean and organized work area, including tools and equipment. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Minimum Qualifications: Possess a high school diploma or GED. Have at least two years of combined manufacturing experience and/or relevant education. Have the ability to read, write, and understand instructions. Demonstrate basic computer skills. Be able to read tape measures, blueprints, and schematics. Have strong verbal and written communication skills. Be willing and able to work in various weather conditions. Have working knowledge in at least one of the following areas: Mechanical, Hydraulics, Electrical systems, Manufacturing/production processes Preferred Qualifications: Class B CDL CWI FPS Dielectric testing experience Additional relevant education, certifications, or experience will be considered Benefits Altec offers a competitive salary of
