About the Role
We are seeking an Architectural Specification Sales Representative to support and grow our presence within architectural and construction community of Ottawa & Gatineau. This role focuses on building strategic relationships and providing technical guidance on high-performance window and door systems for commercial and residential projects.
You will work closely with architects, designers, developers, and contractors to influence specifications and support projects from initial design through completion.

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with architects, specifiers, designers, developers, and contractors.
- Influence product selection and specifications during design and pre‑construction phases.
- Identify, qualify, and manage a portfolio of architectural projects involving windows, doors, and glazing systems.
- Provide technical support related to thermal and energy performance, structural performance, acoustics, air and water infiltration, and regulatory compliance.
- Deliver product presentations, lunch‑and‑learns, technical workshops, and design reviews.
- Review architectural drawings, schedules, and specifications to ensure accurate and compliant product application.
- Collaborate with internal teams (estimating, engineering, operations) to support pricing, bids, and project execution.
- Maintain accurate project tracking, forecasting, and reporting through CRM systems.
- Stay informed on building codes, energy standards, and Ottawa's market trends.
- Support leadership with business growth planning and team expansion initiatives.
What Sets You Up for Success:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in architectural specification sales or project-based sales within windows, doors, glazing, or related building envelope products.
- Working knowledge of fenestration systems and materials (aluminum, wood, vinyl, fiberglass).
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and shop drawings, specifications, and schedules.
- Strong consultative sales, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Highly organized and capable of managing long-cycle, complex projects.
- Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools.
- Experience with Marvin Windows and Doors is considered an asset.

Nous sommes à la recherche d’un représentant des ventes en spécification architecturale afin de soutenir et de développer notre présence au sein de la communauté architecturale et de la construction d'Ottawa et de Gatineau. Ce rôle consiste à établir des relations stratégiques et à fournir une expertise technique sur des systèmes de fenêtres et de portes à haute performance, autant pour des projets résidentiels que commerciaux.
Vous travaillerez en étroite collaboration avec des architectes, concepteurs, promoteurs et entrepreneurs afin d’influencer les devis et d’accompagner les projets depuis la phase de conception jusqu’à leur réalisation.
Pourquoi ce poste est fait pour vous :
- Développer et maintenir des relations solides avec les architectes, prescripteurs, designers, promoteurs et entrepreneurs.
- Influencer la sélection des produits et les spécifications aux phases de conception et de préconstruction.
- Identifier, qualifier et gérer un portefeuille de projets architecturaux impliquant des fenêtres, des portes et des systèmes de vitrage.
- Fournir un soutien technique concernant la performance thermique et énergétique, la performance structurale, l’acoustique, l’infiltration d’air et d’eau ainsi que la conformité réglementaire.
- Présenter les produits lors de présentations techniques, formations « lunch and learn », ateliers techniques et revues de conception.
- Examiner les plans, devis, calendriers et spécifications architecturales afin d’assurer une application conforme et précise des produits.
- Collaborer avec les équipes internes (estimation, ingénierie, opérations) afin de soutenir la tarification, les soumissions et l’exécution des projets.
- Assurer un suivi rigoureux des projets, des prévisions et des rapports à l’aide des systèmes CRM.
- Tenez-vous au courant des codes du bâtiment, des normes énergétiques et des tendances du marché d'Ottawa.
- Soutenir l’équipe de direction dans les initiatives de croissance et d’expansion de l’équipe.
Ce qui vous permettra de réussir :
- Minimum de 2 ans d’expérience en ventes de spécification architecturale ou en ventes de projets, idéalement dans les fenêtres, portes, vitrages ou produits connexes de l’enveloppe du bâtiment.
- Bonne connaissance des systèmes de fenestration et des matériaux (aluminium, bois, vinyle, fibre de verre).
- Capacité à lire et interpréter des plans architecturaux, dessins d’atelier, devis et calendriers.
- Excellentes compétences en vente consultative, en présentation et en développement de relations.
- Grande autonomie et capacité à gérer des projets complexes à long cycle.
- Maîtrise des outils CRM et de la suite Microsoft Office.
- L’expérience avec les fenêtres et portes Marvin est considérée comme un atout.
