POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Villa Saguenay Residence is currently seeking one or more empathetic Resident Care Attendants who are dedicated to the well-being of residents.
Part-time evening shift (32 hours per week), one weekend out of two
The candidate must hold a government-recognized diploma, a 16-hour CPR certification, and the PDSB (Principles of Safe Patient Handling) certification from ASSTSAS.


ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • All other related tasks

Health Care

  • Adhere to standards and regulations in accordance with private seniors' home certification and employer policies
  • Assist and/or accompany residents in getting around
  • Contribute to the adjustment of a residents' action plan based on their observations
  • In collaboration with the different teams, carry out health and hygienic care to the residents while maintaining their dignity and integrity .
  • Proactively assist and support the residents
  • Respond to all emergency situations
  • While interacting with them, report any noticeable changes in a residents mental or physical health to the on-call nurse.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1 year of relevant experience will be considered an important asset
  • Knowledge of retirement homes, a major asset
  • PAB diploma issued by a government body
  • Up to date CPR / AED training certificates
  • PDSB training
