Salary: $37,440 - 49,920 per year
Requirements: We are looking for someone with at least 1 year of technology-related experience. We need strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with a wide range of people. We prefer candidates who are working toward an associate or bachelors degree in a technology-focused field, or who have equivalent practical experience. We value a strong interest in information technology, computers, and IT infrastructure. We look for solid problem-solving, critical thinking, troubleshooting, and analytical abilities. We want someone with a high standard of client service who can build and sustain positive relationships with staff, clients, prospects, and vendors. We need a flexible, adaptable self-starter with a strong desire to learn and the ability to learn independently. We expect excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. We value strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize work independently. Candidates must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. safely for 10 feet. Candidates must be able to travel up to 30% of working time within the market. A valid drivers license and reliable transportation are required. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in this country. The ability to train in person at our downtown Portland office is required. Preferred qualifications include an associate or bachelors degree in information/computer technology, business systems, or a related technical field. Preferred certifications include CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Microsoft credentials such as MCP, MTA, MSCA, MCSA, or MCSE, or ITIL Foundation.
Responsibilities: We provide exposure to a range of roles and responsibilities across the IT field. We have you participate as part of our IT client services team supporting deployment, administration, maintenance, and testing of end-user computing systems. We work with team members to develop and recommend new approaches for promoting products and services, as well as marketing materials. We expect you to build and maintain positive, collaborative, team-oriented relationships with coworkers, supervisors, managers, and others you interact with in your role. We assign you remote and limited on-site technical support for client locations nationwide as needed. We have you support corporate PCs, related hardware and peripherals, and videoconferencing systems. We assign support for client software and software installations. We have you work within our PC deployment framework and tools to manage incidents, problems, requests, changes, assets, and knowledge articles. We may ask you to support help desk activities where possible. We expect you to contribute to the successful delivery of business-led and internal IT projects. We have you help identify, research, and recommend IT process improvements or new technologies that improve efficiency and support the business. We expect rapid response to emergency situations, including direct action and coordination of progress updates with IT staff, vendors, and business partners during and outside regular business hours. We may assign additional duties as needed. There is potential for full-time employment after internship completion, if applicable.
