Arkansas Veterinary Clinic is seeking a dedicated and versatile Veterinary Assistant to join our team!
In this role, you will support our veterinarians during daily surgical procedures by assisting with patient preparation and recovery, maintaining detailed surgical records, and providing clear, compassionate client communication. You will anticipate the needs of your team and work closely to implement the veterinarian's orders while maintaining a smooth workflow to keep surgeries on schedule, while upholding the highest standards of patient care.
This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with strong experience in surgery and anesthesia assistance who are looking to fully utilize and expand their skills in a supportive, team environment.
Schedule: This is a full-time position with a 5/8 schedule and availability needed Monday-Friday from 7:45am-5p + the First Saturdays of each month 7:45am-12p.
Full-time benefits and compensation**:
  • Compensation: $16-$17 per hour, for each hour worked*
  • Bonus package: $500 for those with 3+ years of consecutive, current VA experience

Minimum qualifications and skill set:
  • 1+ years of veterinary assistant experience
  • Proficiency in the following skills:
    • Proper patient restraint
    • Inpatient care
    • Surgical/anesthesia recovery
    • Radiology set up and technique
    • Venipuncture and lab sample collection
    • Client communication and education
