Join Allied Universal as an Armed Officer in a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with exceptional customer service and communication. In this armed post, you will bring integrity, teamwork, and a caring approach while delivering reliable, agile, and innovative support throughout the location.
Position Type: Part Time
Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour
Job Schedule:
DayTimeWed03:00 PM - 11:00 PMThur11:00 PM - 07:00 AMSat07:00 AM - 03:00 PMWhat You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns through appropriate channels.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify credentials when required, and assist with screening, escorts, and visitor-related procedures based on location protocols.
- Support emergency and medical-related response efforts by coordinating with site contacts, public responders, and Allied Universal leadership during urgent situations and/or operational disruptions.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess an armed guard card or license.
- Have at least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
