POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Located in Longueuil, the Jazz Longueuil residence, managed by Cogir, offers a friendly and stimulating work environment. We have a dedicated and caring team for independent seniors and those experiencing a slight loss of autonomy. We are looking for a dining room manager with a positive attitude to lead the dining room staff and provide 5-star service to our residents. The Dining Room Manager plans and directs all dining room service activities. They ensure the smooth operation of the meal service, manage the staff involved, and maintain exceptional customer service. Permanent, full-time position, 40 hours per week, Sunday to Thursday, daytime hours from 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.


ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate in the safety of residents and staff by ensuring compliance with health and safety standards in the dining room
  • Collaborate with kitchen employees to ensure good teamwork
  • Contribute and ensure the maintenance of the cleanliness of the dining room by taking on some household chores, in collaboration with the whole team
  • Greet residents in the dining room and ensure their comfort
  • Managing the dining room team
  • Participate in table service with your team of waiters
  • Present the daily menus, the à la carte menu and answer residents' questions about food and cooking, in collaboration with colleagues in the kitchen
  • Take care of the cleanliness of equipment and workspaces

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in personnel management
  • knowledge of a Maitre D's responsibilities (an asset)
  • At lease 3 to 5 years of experience in restoration
  • Knowledge of senior living residences is a major asset.
