As VINTUS expands its national retail presence, we are seeking a strategic, high-performing Strategic Retail Account Manager to lead our Western Region chain account initiative. This is an opportunity to represent an award-winning portfolio of world-class wines to key retail chain partners across the West — combining the credibility of an industry-leading importer with the entrepreneurial energy of a growing, values-driven company.
You will serve as a vital link between our portfolio of extraordinary producers and the retail accounts that bring these wines to discerning consumers. This role demands equal parts strategic thinking, relationship mastery, and executional excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Account Management & Growth ALL Manage a defined portfolio of targeted Retail Chain Accounts across the Western Region, cultivating existing high-value relationships while strategically developing new accounts with significant growth potential.
Develop and execute tailored, brand-forward growth strategies for each targeted account, rooted in VINTUS's commitment to quality, provenance, and long-term partnership.
Design and implement market-leading pricing strategies that drive National Accounts growth while rigorously upholding each winery partner's brand standards — a core VINTUS value.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner closely with the National Accounts Team, Marketing, and Brand Development teams to craft targeted programs that drive velocity through features, promotions, and impactful in-store activations.
Collaborate directly with VINTUS's celebrated producer partners to surface both near-term and long-term opportunities, translating data and market trend analysis into actionable sales strategies.
Work hand-in-hand with distributor sales teams to ensure seamless program execution, brand consistency, and best-in-class retail representation across the Western footprint.
Presentations, Reviews & Industry Presence
Create industry-leading account presentations and business reviews that reflect the caliber and story of the VINTUS portfolio — communicating both the commercial case and the authentic passion behind each producer.
Attend key account meetings, general industry events, and trade conferences as required, representing VINTUS with the professionalism and expertise the brand demands.
Program & Operational Excellence
Drive industry-leading execution across all programs: compliance, inventory management, pricing, and promotional follow-through — consistently and without exception.
Independently manage all aspects of your business — budgets, resources, and time — with the self-direction and accountability that defines the VINTUS team culture.

Required Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of sales success demonstrated in the retail chain sector, with a track record of delivering measurable revenue growth.
A well-established network of Retail Chain Account contacts across the Western Region.
Proven ability to build and sustain excellent relationships with customers, key accounts, and distributor partners.
Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills — with the ability to craft compelling account presentations and business reviews.
Proficiency in standard business software and sales reporting platforms.
Bachelor's Degree and valid Driver's License required.

Compensation & Benefits
VINTUS offers a competitive and comprehensive package befitting a leading fine wine importer, including:
Competitive base salary in the range of $130,000- $150,000, commensurate with experience
