Job Summary
Uphold is looking for a Technical Solutions Architect to join our Enterprise team. This is an incredibly exciting opportunity where you'll get to evaluate the requirements of businesses and make architectural recommendations to achieve elegant solutions, by reusing existing tools and APIs, and above all leveraging Uphold's know-how on how to best integrate their product with the Uphold platform.
You will have the opportunity to work closely with clients and partners to understand their problems and solve them with code. You will architect solutions that address business challenges through technology, and maintain a feedback loop with our Product and Engineering teams to continuously improve our product.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Risk & Feedback: Proactively mitigate technical blockers and provide partner insights to Product and Engineering teams to improve the platform. Lead Integrations: Guide partners through scalable integration patterns, prioritizing standard platform features over custom development. Process Excellence: Drive well-defined integration frameworks and maintain meticulous technical documentation and timelines. Business-Tech Bridge: Collaborate with Sales and Product teams to translate commercial goals into sound, scalable technical solutions. Product Expert: Serve as a trusted advisor on Uphold's APIs and SDKs for both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Prototyping & Enablement: Build high-impact prototypes and educational resources (guides, diagrams) to accelerate partner implementations. Required Qualifications and Skills
BS or advanced degree in Computer Science or equivalent. 4+ years of experience in Software Engineering or Solutions Architecture, with a proven track record of designing scalable systems. Experience in developing or integrating APIs for other products you've worked on. Worked in a fintech or financial services environment. Strong understanding of REST APIs, SDKs and the OpenAPI specification. Proficiency in at least one major backend language (Node.js, Go or Java). Experience in designing and documenting scalable technical solutions for external partners. Ability to clearly explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. Comfortable working in cross-functional teams and collaborating with sales, product, and engineering stakeholders. A customer-centric approach with a strong sense of ownership and accountability. Positive, proactive attitude - resilient under pressure and solution-oriented in the face of ambiguity. Advanced understanding of business analysis techniques and how to apply them to partner-facing solutions. Fluent written and oral English skills. Bonus if you have:
Worked in a highly technical customer support role. Knowledge of documentation tools like Swagger or Slate. Fluency in cryptocurrencies or other digital assets as they are core to our business. Community talks, certifications, and/or blog posts on your interests and research. Open source project contributions of any kind, such as tools developed to solve specific problems you've had or fixing issues on existing projects. Importantly, if you're looking for a senior role with us, you will have achieved many of the things above while also providing mentorship to others, and have engaged in public speaking opportunities.
