Job Summary
Provide online Georgia Secondary Science instruction for high school students at Georgia Digital School (GDS), a Stride K12 partner. Responsibilities include delivering synchronous and asynchronous lessons, monitoring progress, and maintaining strong communication with students, parents, and learning coaches. Salary and Start Date
Estimated annual base salary: $50,000 (non‑negotiable) with eligibility for a performance bonus. Position start date: July 13, 2026. Essential Functions
Deliver engaging synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences. Personalize learning for all students and differentiate instruction based on mastery. Augment course content using prescribed policies and appropriate tools under guidance from principal and coach. Maintain grade book, ensure academic integrity, make placement/promotion decisions, and alert administrators of concerns. Prepare students for high‑stakes standardized tests. Establish and maintain positive rapport with families; communicate regularly and respond in a timely manner. Support learning coaches/parents with curricular and instructional issues, including basic troubleshooting. Travel as required (average once per month, approximately 20% of time) for professional development, testing, and school functions. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree. Active Georgia state teaching license. Successful completion of a required background check. Desired Qualifications
Experience working with the proposed age group. Experience supporting adults and children in using technology. Experience teaching online or in a hybrid environment. Familiarity with online learning platforms. Ability to collaborate with other teachers to interpret and use student data for instructional decisions. Receptive to regular coaching and feedback from administrators and trainers. Adaptability to change and commitment to improving student outcomes. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint. Ability to rapidly learn new technologies and faculty platforms.
