The Role

As a Mainframe, Enterprise Architect with Kyndryl, you will have the chance to work with some of the world's most innovative and big Mainframe companies, helping them to achieve their business goals through the strategic implementation of technology. You will be responsible for connecting our customers’ business needs with their IT strategy, using a range of architectural models and views to create a clear picture of how their requirements can be met in an agile, sustainable, and flexible way, more in details:
Mainframe, Enterprise Architect role is responsible for supporting and disseminating the offerings on the platform
They provide new and complex high-quality offerings to clients in response to varying business needs
They are responsible for the overall planning and achievement of business development goals
They provide full support to customers on TCO (Total Cost Ownership) and give a clear picture of our offering benefits
They have excellent communication skills in order to establish relationships with C-level interlocutors
They have excellent communication skills in order to maintain good relationships with both Local and Global Kyndryl teams
Who You Are
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Preferred Master degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
At least 5 years in the profession of Mainframe Enterprise Architect
Good knowledge on IBM Z Hardware and its life cycle IBM Z1x
Good knowledge on Hybrid Cloud platforms integration using containers, microservices and DevOps principles hosted on Mainframe
Understanding of Hardware capacity based on Configurations or Customer Requirements
Understanding of the major Mainframe Subsystems and how they interact with each other zOS, DB2, CICS, IMS, MQ, RACF, Automation, Scheduling, Storage
.
Knowledge on new technologies on Mainframe such as ZOWE, Operations Analytics, zOS Container extensions etc.
High Level Understanding of zVM and zLinux with zVM as Hypervisor
* * Interpreting SCRT reports, working knowledge on e-configs, workload pricer etc.
Good understanding on Software licensing for Mainframe IPLA and MLC Software Deep knowledge of multiple system architectures, Networks and system design principles
Public, Private and Hybrid Cloud Architectures
Architectural Thinking. Knowledgeable in the Solution Design Method
Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences
