Salary Range: $120,000 - $169,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We collaborate with manufacturing companies in the Mason region seeking Controllers. These employers partner with us because they want real insight into candidatesnot just resumes. By joining our network, you gain access to roles worth considering.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all accounting operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, and cost accounting.
  • Manage month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Develop and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts, providing insights to senior management.
  • Lead the annual budgeting process and provide ongoing variance analysis.
  • Manage cash flow and working capital effectively to optimize financial performance.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards (GAAP) and regulatory requirements.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and cost accounting principles
  • Proven experience with ERP systems implementation and optimization
  • CPA certification highly preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a team

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with an ERP implementation or major upgrade
  • CPA license or CMA certification
  • Experience in a Private Equity-backed environment
  • Expertise in cost accounting methodologies specific to manufacturing (e.g., standard costing, activity-based costing)
  • Proven track record of process improvement and automation initiatives
