The Drug Product Data Analyst is responsible for the accurate entry, validation, and maintenance of drug product data within Elsevier's drug database. This role focuses entirely on structured product data, such as identifiers (e.g., NDCs, UPCs), pricing benchmarks (e.g., AWP, WAC), ingredient composition, and package details. The ideal candidate is highly detail‑oriented, disciplined and able to work independently while knowing when to ask questions or seek escalation. Responsibilities Deliver accurate and timely drug product content that meets established quality standards. Ensure data integrity, consistency, and completeness across the database. Provide guidance and quality oversight to a small team of contractors performing related tasks. Collaborate proactively with internal team members to resolve data questions and improve processes. Identify and escalates discrepancies, gaps or opportunities for process improvement. Enter, update and maintain drug product data such as identifiers (NDC, UPC), pricing types (AWP, WAC), ingredient composition and package information. Interpret source data from manufacturers, wholesalers and suppliers into structured database formats. Perform routine quality checks and validation to ensure accuracy, completeness and consistency. Document data decisions, updates and exceptions in accordance with established standards. Follow SOPs and data governance standards with precision and consistency. Review work before submission and apply lessons learned from prior feedback. Investigate and resolve data discrepancies; escalated issues requiring additional context or authority. Approve drug data records submitted by other team members and provide feedback. Monitor contractor productivity and quality; communicate concerns to the team lead as needed. Collaborate with internal team members to resolve data questions, share knowledge, and improve workflows. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or higher preferred. Experience with drug product data entry in a pharmacy, drug compendia, or healthcare data environment. Working knowledge of drug product data elements, including NDCs, pricing types (AWP, WAC), ingredients and packaging structures. Demonstrated ability to follow detailed SOPs and data standards consistently. Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy. Ability to work independently in a remote environment while managing time and priorities effectively. Comfortable providing guidance or quality feedback to others without formal management authority. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or equivalent data tools. Pharmacy technician background or equivalent experience in a pharmacy or healthcare setting (valued). Experience with drug compendia or healthcare data vendors (valued). Familiarity with data quality assurance processes, audit workflows or data governance practices (valued). Experience with workflow tracking or task‑management systems (e.g., Jira, Monday.com, or similar) (valued). U.S. National Base Pay Range: $53,900 – $89,800 (geographic differentials may apply).
