Systems Engineer (Database Security) A leading financial services organisation is seeking aSystems Engineer to join its Enterprise Cyber Security team, focused on securing and monitoring critical database platforms across global environments. Key Requirements Experience in Systems, Platform, Infrastructure, or Database Engineering. Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills. Hands-on experience with Oracle and/or MySQL. Knowledge of database security and Database Activity Monitoring (DAM). Experience with AWS (EC2 preferred) and exposure to Azure DevOps. Experience with CI/CD and automation tools such as Jenkins and GitHub. Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools including Splunk, Datadog, OTEL, ServiceNow, or similar. Strong problem-solving skills in large enterprise environments. Preferred Experience with IBM Guardium, jSonar, or similar DAM solutions. Scripting experience (Python, Bash, PowerShell). Experience deploying security platforms into on-prem and cloud infrastructure. Experience supporting large-scale global environments. Responsibilities Deploy, support, and enhance database security and monitoring platforms. Manage incidents, changes, releases, and platform lifecycle activities. Automate operational processes and improve platform reliability. Partner with Cyber Security, Cloud, and Infrastructure teams to deliver secure, scalable solutions. for more information
