Morgan McKinley is delighted to partner exclusively with a leading player in the distribution industry to recruit a Purchasing Administrator for their Tralee team. This isn't an admin-only role. You will drive procurement operations-taking ownership of supplier management, market research, and negotiations to optimize cost and quality. Key Responsibilities Sourcing & Negotiation: Research suppliers and negotiate optimal prices, terms, and delivery conditions. Order Management: Manage end-to-end purchasing, issue POs, and arrange inbound freight logistics. Supplier Relations: Serve as the main point of contact for current vendors and new product inquiries. Logistics Alignment: Partner with warehouse teams to resolve discrepancies/damages, and manage multi-location stock transfers. Process Improvement: Maximize internal software systems to streamline purchasing workflows. Reporting: Prepare accurate procurement and stock reports for leadership. Requirements Experience: 3-5 years in a fast-paced procurement, buying, or purchasing role. Education: Qualification in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or Accounting. Skills: Strong understanding of inventory control, MS Office proficiency, and sharp attention to detail.
