Our client is a growing real estate development company focused on delivering high-quality residential and mixed-use development projects throughout Southern California. They are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join their accounting team and support high-volume construction and development accounting activities.
Key Responsibilities
Process and code accounts payable invoices accurately and timely. Review, input, and reconcile construction contracts, subcontractor agreements, and change orders. Verify invoice approvals and ensure payments align with contract terms and project budgets. Track commitments, contract balances, and change order activity. Reconcile vendor statements and resolve payment discrepancies. Assist with month-end close activities including AP accruals and account reconciliations. Maintain organized electronic and physical AP documentation. Coordinate with Project Managers, Development Managers, and vendors regarding invoice status and contract matters. Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies. Support audit requests and reporting requirements. Qualifications
3+ years of accounts payable experience, preferably within real estate development, construction, or property management. Experience reviewing and processing construction invoices, contracts, lien waivers, and change orders. Strong understanding of job cost accounting and project-related expenses. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Experience with Yardi software strongly preferred. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Pay Details:
$70,000.00 to $80,000.00 per year
