We are seeking a dedicated, experienced, and bilingual Janitorial Supervisor to lead our custodial team in a fast-paced studio production environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring exceptional cleanliness, safety, and customer service throughout the facility while supporting the ever-changing operational needs of television and film production. This position requires strong leadership, adaptability, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a dynamic environment.

Pay: $27/hour

  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of janitorial staff to ensure all studio spaces, offices, production support areas, warehouses, restrooms, breakrooms, and common areas are cleaned and maintained to company and client standards.
  • Schedule and assign daily work while remaining agile and flexible to adjust staffing and priorities in support of changing production schedules, filming activities, special events, and business needs.
  • Coordinate and respond to production requests, special cleaning assignments, event support, VIP visits, production turnovers, and other customer service requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Train, onboard, coach, and develop janitorial staff to ensure safe work practices, quality performance, and consistent service delivery.
  • Conduct routine quality inspections to verify cleanliness standards and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Manage the site's Janitorial Safety Program, including maintaining Safety Data Sheets (SDS), conducting monthly safety meetings and required training, documenting safety activities, and ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
  • Ensure the proper use, storage, and handling of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Address customer concerns, service requests, and operational issues promptly while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain inventory levels of cleaning supplies, chemicals, consumables, equipment, and PPE, placing orders as needed to support uninterrupted operations.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records of inspections, staff schedules, training, inventory, safety documentation, and operational reports.
  • Communicate effectively with employees, Facilities, Engineering, Security, Production personnel, vendors, and client representatives to ensure seamless coordination and service delivery.
  • Assist with cleaning responsibilities as needed during staffing shortages, emergency situations, special events, or other high-demand operational periods.
  • Develop and implement best practices that improve operational efficiency, service quality, and team performance.
  • Monitor employee attendance, productivity, and performance while fostering a positive, collaborative, and accountable work environment.
  • Be available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime, to support production activities, special events, and changing business requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification in Facilities Management, Janitorial Services, Environmental Services, or Safety is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2–3 years of supervisory experience in janitorial, custodial, facilities management, hospitality, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting studio, entertainment, commercial office, healthcare, higher education, or other high-profile facilities is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial cleaning procedures, equipment, chemicals, and safety practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and production schedules.
  • Proven leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and time management abilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform duties requiring extended periods of standing, walking, bending, and climbing stairs.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) and basic computer applications.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience working in television, film, entertainment, or other production-based environments.
  • Experience with work order management systems (CMMS), scheduling software, and inventory management systems.
  • Knowledge of green cleaning practices and sustainability initiatives.
  • Experience coordinating customer service requests, production support activities, and special event operations.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations, workplace safety programs, incident reporting, and SDS management.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced operational environment.
