Responsibilities
Gathers operational data from various cross‑functional stakeholders to examine past business performance
Identifies data patterns & trends, and provides insights to enhance business decision making capability in business planning, process improvement, solution assessment etc.
Recommends actions for future developments & strategic business opportunities, as well as enhancements to operational policies
May be involved in exploratory data analysis, confirmatory data analysis and/or qualitative analysis
Translate data into consumer or customer behavioral insights to drive targeting and segmentation strategies, and communicate clearly and effectively to business partners and senior leaders all findings
Continuously improve processes and strategies by exploring and evaluating new data sources, tools, and capabilities
Work closely with internal and external business partners in building, implementing, tracking and improving decision strategies
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications
5-8 years of experience
Excellent analytical and business strategy skills
Effective communication skills; ability to present to business partners and leaders to gain approvals
Project and process management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience with a prior focus in financial services analytics
Solid organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects at one time
Self‑starter who also has a demonstrated ability to work successfully in a team environment and drive
Knowledge of financial market structure and products, including over‑the‑counter derivatives, securities financing transactions, exchange‑traded derivatives and cash trading
Understanding of how firms manage credit and market risk for trading book activity
Comfortable working with large data sets and demonstration of logical data structure knowledge
Proficiency with Excel, Tableau, SQL and Python to perform data analysis
Experience in data tracing, mining, visualization and analysis, including exploring patterns/trends, exploratory analysis, root‑cause analysis, machine learning and predictive analytics
Experience interacting across multiple teams globally and influencing diverse groups of stakeholders
Strong sense of urgency and ability to manage competing priorities while delivering results quickly and efficiently
Education
Bachelor’s or university degree or equivalent experience
Salary and Compensation Primary location full‑time salary range: $87,280.00 - $130,920.00. In addition to base salary, Citi offers discretionary and incentive awards for eligible employees.
