WellSpan Health is seeking a full-time urologist to join the well-respected team in beautiful historic Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. Our collegial urology group is currently comprised of 5 physicians and 2 APPs. Gettysburg offers excellent schools, multiple recreational, cultural & historic activities, and proximity to the Baltimore/DC metro area. A favorable tax climate, excellent healthcare & easy access to all major metropolitan areas of the Northeast, have made South Central PA a top retirement destination. Position Highlights: Bread and butter urology practice with surgeries at WellSpan Gettysburg Hospital (including robotics) Support provided by APPs who have their own panel of patients & assist with work ups. Excellent Practice Manager & dedicated/long-term staff. Collegial collaboration w/ General Surgery, OB/GYN, Oncology & Uro/Gyn. Gettysburg has 73-bed community hospital with 5 ORs & two XI Da Vinci Robots 3500+ surgeries performed annually and 33,000+ ED patients/year.
Qualifications: Board eligible/certified Robotic surgery experience is preferred but not required. New grads encouraged to apply.

Essential Functions:
Exercise autonomy in clinical decision-making Diagnose and treat many common acute and chronic problems Prescribe and manage medications and other therapies Provide a broad range of diagnostic and therapeutic health services Perform physical exams and health histories Order and interpret laboratory tests and diagnostic studies Perform procedures as applicable to specialty Practice in collaboration with all members of the health care team and refers to other providers when necessary Engage in research, education, patient advocacy, and administrative activities Acts as an educator to mid-levels, nursing, and administrative staff within the office Dictates, reviews, and completes medical record upon completion of applicable visit or procedure Obtains necessary CME credits in order to maintain necessary state licensure Participates in monthly provider and staff meetings and other requested meetings Assigns appropriate CPT and ICD9 codes to office and inpatient visits Responds to messages and phone calls in a prompt and timely fashion Common Expectations:
Participates in Medical Staff activities as required and/or as requested. Observes the Bylaws and Rules and Regulations of the Hospital and the Medical Staff. Demonstrates a commitment to patient, visitor and staff by: complying with all applicable safety regulations; learning the impact of medical errors and methodology that will lead to reduction of errors; reporting actual and potential errors, as well as hazardous conditions; identifying opportunities to standardize processes and "error proof" systems that will lead to increased safety; and participating in safety education programs and root cause analyses as required. Provides outstanding service to all customers; fosters teamwork; and practices fiscal responsibility through improvement and innovation. Required for All Jobs:

Qualifications
Minimum Education:
Doctor of Medicine (MD) Required or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) Required Licenses:
Licensed Medical Physician and Surgeon Upon Hire Required or Licensed Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Upon Hire Required Courses and Training:
Boarded in appropriate specialty. Upon Hire Required and Completion of a residency. Upon Hire Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Teaching skills. Must have high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations. Working knowledge of medical terminology. Good phone skills. Excellent Customer Service. Organized, sets priorities, and able to multi-task.
