Sentry Insurance is seeking a Data Engineer – .NET Web Development to join our team in Middleton, WI.
The Data Engineer – .NET Web Development will be responsible for designing, planning, implementing, and testing a custom‑built web application for Sentry’s data lake solution. The application manages all metadata and serves as the presentation layer for the ecosystem; it must be scalable, resilient, and maintainable. The engineer will ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security, monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve user issues and code defects.

Participate in on‑call rotations to provide 24/7 support for critical systems.
Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.
What It Takes
Bachelor’s Degree in Data Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years of data engineering experience, including:
At least two years programming in Microsoft .NET, C#, REST API, JavaScript, ASP.NET MVC, HTML, CSS, and SQL Server.
At least two years development in Microsoft Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, and SQL Server Management Studio.
At least two years use of Git, Postman, Bootstrap, and AutoMapper.
Experience with agile development methodology.
Experience applying software design principles such as Object‑Oriented Programming, SOLID, and Clean Architecture.
