Site Manager Residential & Commercial Construction Location: Tullamore, Co. Offaly The Opportunity An established and highly respected main contractor is seeking an experiencedSite Manager to lead the delivery of a major new-build project in Tullamore, Co. Offaly. This is an excellent opportunity to join a contractor with a strong pipeline of work across the Midlands, offering long-term career stability and the chance to oversee high-profile residential and commercial developments from inception through to completion. The successful candidate will take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of site operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities Take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of site operations from site establishment through to project completion and handover. Coordinate and manage all subcontractors, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, and in line with programme requirements. Drive project programmes through effective planning, material procurement, and short-term look-ahead scheduling. Work closely with the Project Manager, Quantity Surveyor, design team, and client representatives to ensure successful project delivery. Maintain the highest standards of health, safety, environmental, and quality compliance across all site activities. Monitor progress, identify potential risks, and implement solutions to maintain programme and quality objectives. Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with project specifications, Irish Building Regulations, and company procedures. Promote a positive and collaborative site culture while maintaining excellent relationships with subcontractors and stakeholders. Requirements Proven experience as a Site Manager with a main contractor delivering residential, commercial, or mixed-use developments. Strong track record managing large-scale construction projects from groundworks through to completion. Excellent knowledge of modern construction methods, sequencing, structural works, and high-quality finishes. Experience delivering residential housing or apartment developments is highly desirable. ICF construction experience would be an advantage but is not essential. Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills with the ability to motivate site teams and manage subcontractors effectively. Relevant construction qualifications together with a valid Safe Pass and Health & Safety certification.
