Receptionist Dympna Daly Dentistry for Children We are looking for a warm, professional, and highly organised Receptionist to join our friendly team at Dympna Daly Dentistry for Children. This is a part-time position, working 3 days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday), 8:00am5:00pm. As the first point of contact for our young patients and their families, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming experience while ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our busy specialist practice. Key Responsibilities Welcome patients and their families in a friendly, professional manner. Manage appointment bookings, confirmations, recalls, and patient records accurately. Handle telephone and email enquiries efficiently and courteously. Maintain an organised and efficient reception area. Process payments, invoices, and insurance documentation where required. Support the clinical team by preparing paperwork and coordinating patient flow. Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with practice policies and procedures. Communicate clearly with parents and carers regarding appointments and treatment information. Essential Requirements Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organisational and time-management abilities. A friendly, professional, and patient-focused approach. Good computer literacy and administrative skills. Previous experience in a dental practice, including dental nursing, dental reception, or another dental support role. Ability to multitask and remain calm in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail. Desirable Experience working with children or within a paediatric healthcare setting. Familiarity with dental practice management software. Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures. Understanding of infection prevention and patient care standards. Personal Qualities Warm, approachable, and compassionate. Reliable, proactive, and a strong team player. Calm under pressure with excellent problem-solving skills.
