Requirements:

• This role requires full-time office presence in Johannesburg.
• 4–5 years of relevant full stack development experience
• Strong proficiency in at least one OOP backend language: Java, C#, Kotlin, or Python
• Experience with backend frameworks such as Spring Boot, .NET, or Django/Flask
• Experience with at least one modern frontend framework (Angular, React, or Vue)
• Solid understanding of object-oriented design principles (SOLID, design patterns)
• Experience working with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
• Experience working in an English speaking environment

Skills:

• Strong grasp of OOP concepts: encapsulation, inheritance, polymorphism, abstraction
• Experience with relational databases and ORM frameworks (e.g. Hibernate, Entity Framework)
• Ability to design and implement scalable backend systems
• Implementing automated testing and unit tests
• Collaborative mindset with cross-functional teams

Nice to have:

• Experience with Kotlin or Spring Boot for JVM-based development
• Familiarity with containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Knowledge of CI/CD practices and DevOps principles
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Familiarity with TDD/BDD practices
