The Associate Data Analyst supports data reporting processes, enhances automation of manual tasks, and drives visionary improvements for revenue growth within a national, multi-unit Asian-inspired food management company. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong analytical mindset and a forward-thinking approach to help us leverage data for sales growth and operational efficiency. As a key member of the team, this position will contribute to analyzing the business’ health through data and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have strong communication, customer service, and collaboration skills and can simplify complex concepts for the effective implementation of new projects and ideas. Success in this position relies on having relentless curiosity and a passion for creating innovative analyses to uncover opportunities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Data Analysis & Reporting
Design, develop, and maintain dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using Tableau, Excel, and related reporting tools to support operational priorities and business initiatives
Analyze large datasets to identify trends, performance insights, and opportunities for operational improvement
Support KPI tracking and reporting to assist leadership with data-informed decision‑making
Database & Systems Support
Write, optimize, and maintain SQL queries within MySQL or similar relational database systems
Assist with database structures including schemas, views, and triggers to improve reporting efficiency and data accessibility
Support ETL processes and data integration workflows across multiple business systems
Process Improvement & Automation
Build and implement automated workflows and reporting processes to improve efficiency, scalability, and data accuracy
Identify operational inefficiencies and recommend practical, data-driven solutions to enhance business processes
Establish and maintain data quality standards through validation, auditing, and integrity checks
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
Partner with department leaders and stakeholders to understand business requirements and deliver reporting and analytical solutions that support operational and strategic goals
Create documentation and assist with training users on reporting tools, dashboards, and data interpretation
Communicate analytical findings clearly and effectively to both technical and non‑technical audiences
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Data Science, or related field preferred
1-3 years of experience in data analytics, reporting, or business intelligence
Proficiency in Tableau, Microsoft Excel, and MySQL/SQL
Working knowledge of ETL processes and data analysis concepts
Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong collaboration skills and a customer‑centric mindset
Experience with Python or other scripting languages is a plus
Familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM systems is a plus
