Rate: $70-$80/hr. on 1099
Position Overview We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Salesforce Developer / Lead Developer who can drive end-to-end solution design and technical delivery for our Salesforce platform supporting Debt & Equity and Investment Sales workflows. This is not a pure development role—we are looking for someone who has architected and owned complex Salesforce solutions from business requirements through production deployment.
The ideal candidate should be capable of translating complex business problems into scalable Salesforce architectures, making key technical design decisions, leading integrations, driving development best practices, and mentoring engineering teams. Strong experience in large-scale data quality, data cleanup, and enterprise integrations is essential.
Key Responsibilities Solution Architecture & Technical Leadership
Own the end-to-end solution architecture for Salesforce initiatives from business requirements through production deployment.
Translate complex business problems into scalable, secure, and maintainable Salesforce solutions.
Design system architecture, data models, application layers, integration strategies, and automation frameworks.
Evaluate architectural options and clearly articulate technical tradeoffs and design decisions.
Provide technical leadership, code reviews, and mentorship to development teams.
Business Solution Design
Partner with business stakeholders to understand Investment Sales and Debt & Equity workflows.
Lead technical discovery sessions and convert functional requirements into detailed technical designs.
Design scalable solutions for deal tracking, investor management, lender engagement, commission processing, and transaction lifecycle management.
Develop enterprise-grade solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Aura, Visualforce, SOQL/SOSL, and Salesforce APIs.
Build reusable frameworks and follow enterprise development standards.
Ensure solutions are optimized for scalability, maintainability, and performance.
Enterprise Integrations
Design and implement integrations between Salesforce and HubSpot, Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) platforms, financial systems, and third-party applications.
Develop secure REST/SOAP API integrations using middleware and event-driven architecture where appropriate.
Own integration design, error handling, retry mechanisms, and monitoring strategies.
Lead enterprise-wide data cleanup, deduplication, migration, and data quality initiatives.
Design scalable approaches for maintaining data integrity across confidential and public datasets.
Develop matching strategies, validation frameworks, and governance processes for long-term data quality.
Automation & Platform Optimization
Architect scalable automation using Flows, Apex Triggers, Platform Events, and asynchronous processing.
Optimize existing Salesforce implementations by improving performance, reducing technical debt, and simplifying business processes.
Development Best Practices
Establish development standards, coding guidelines, and architectural governance.
Lead code reviews and ensure adherence to Salesforce best practices.
Drive CI/CD implementation using Git, SFDX, VS Code, and modern DevOps practices.
Testing & Deployment
Define testing strategies and ensure robust unit and integration testing with 80%+ code coverage.
Manage release planning, deployment strategies, rollback procedures, and production support.
Documentation
Produce and maintain solution architecture documents, technical design specifications, integration diagrams, deployment documentation, and operational runbooks.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
7+ years of Salesforce development experience with recent experience leading enterprise Salesforce implementations.
Demonstrated experience owning the complete solution lifecycle from business requirements through architecture, development, deployment, and production support.
Strong experience designing scalable Salesforce architecture and technical solutions.
Deep expertise in:
Apex
Visualforce
SOQL/SOSL
Data Modeling
Strong experience designing REST/SOAP integrations and middleware solutions.
Extensive experience leading data migration, deduplication, and enterprise data quality initiatives.
Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using Git, SFDX, and modern DevOps tools.
Salesforce Platform Developer I Certification (required).
Excellent communication skills with the ability to present architecture, technical design decisions, implementation approaches, and tradeoffs to both technical and business stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
Salesforce Platform Developer II Certification.
Salesforce Application Architect or System Architect certification preferred.
Salesforce Architect certifications are highly desirable.
Experience within Commercial Real Estate (CRE), Financial Services, Capital Markets, Investment Banking, or Investment Sales.
Experience designing enterprise integration architectures involving Salesforce and financial platforms.
Experience mentoring development teams and serving as the technical lead on large Salesforce implementations.
Candidates should be able to clearly discuss projects where they have owned the solution end-to-end, including:
Defining the business problem.
Designing the overall system architecture.
Creating detailed technical designs.
Explaining architectural decisions and tradeoffs.
Leading complex integrations.
Driving coding standards and development best practices.
Solving scalability and performance challenges.
Describing lessons learned and improvements made throughout the project lifecycle..
