What You'll Do: Data Warehouse Architecture
Lead the design and implementation of scalable enterprise data warehouse solutions.
Establish data architecture standards, best practices, and governance frameworks.
Develop long-term strategies for data management, storage, and analytics.
Data Modeling
Design and maintain dimensional data models using star and snowflake schema methodologies.
Develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models supporting reporting, analytics, and self-service BI.
Ensure data structures align with business requirements and reporting needs.
ETL / ELT Development
Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines for ingesting, transforming, and loading data from multiple sources.
Build scalable solutions supporting both batch and near real-time processing.
Implement data cleansing, normalization, transformation, and enrichment processes.
Design and support cloud-based data warehouse environments utilizing technologies such as:
Snowflake
AWS Redshift
Google BigQuery
Evaluate and implement cloud-native solutions to improve scalability and performance.
Data Quality, Governance & Security
Implement data governance processes including metadata management, lineage tracking, and data cataloging.
Establish data quality monitoring and validation procedures.
Partner with security teams to maintain compliance and enforce access controls.
Performance Optimization
Optimize database performance through indexing, partitioning, query tuning, and workload management.
Troubleshoot and resolve performance bottlenecks across data environments.
Monitor data platforms to ensure reliability and efficiency.
Analytics, AI & Advanced Data Solutions
Support advanced analytics initiatives and data science efforts.
Assist with feature engineering and data preparation for machine learning models.
Contribute to statistical modeling and data-driven decision-making initiatives.
Partner with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
Mentor and guide other data professionals on architecture, modeling, and engineering best practices.
Establish standards and documentation for enterprise data management.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Architecture, Analytics Engineering, or Data Warehouse Development.
Strong SQL skills with the ability to write and optimize complex queries.
Experience with Python and/or Scala.
Experience with cloud data warehouse technologies such as Snowflake, AWS Redshift, Azure Synapse, or BigQuery.
Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, metadata management, and security controls.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with:
Microsoft Fabric
OneLake
dbt
Informatica
Talend
Fivetran
Experience with NoSQL technologies such as MongoDB or Cassandra.
Familiarity with Kafka, Pub/Sub, APIs, and event-driven architectures.
Experience supporting machine learning and advanced analytics initiatives.
Experience with BI platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar tools.
