Job Overview The Data Analyst supports the Patient Access Department Leadership with key operational, and revenue cycle reporting functions. The Data Analyst provides direct and indirect support to management team by analyzing key performance indicators, track and trend data to identify issues, and utilizes findings to improve departmental operations. The Data Analyst will utilize revenue cycle reports to analyze data, research root causes and assist in the development of action plans to improve processes and eliminate the loss of revenue. The role will play a key part in driving the success of the Revenue Cycle KPIs by utilizing data to identify and resolve issues within the Patient Access and overall Revenue Cycle Operations. The Analyst will be a key player in creating action plans to improve processes related to the Revenue Cycle KPIs, will be responsible for creating reports to display their findings as well as tracking results of improvement plans.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree required
Minimum of 2 years in Revenue Cycle experience
Knowledge in all aspects of Patient Access workflows
Advanced Excel experience required
Medical terminology and computer skills

Shift-8:00am-4:00pm

Essential Functions
Utilize system generated reports and create reports as needed to analyze data
Analyze and audit data to identify issues and areas of opportunity
Monitors, manages and works system work-queues to ensure operational efficiency and registration accuracy
Create tracking and trending reports for each KPI
Provide summary findings to leadership teams when needed
Assist with creating action plans to address and resolve issues for Process Improvement efforts
Develop reports to quantify the value and financial risk for each area
Participate in the Revenue Cycle meetings and report on trends and areas of focus
Meet with Patient Access leadership to collaborate on areas of risk and revenue loss and develop trending reports associated to each area
Researches and maintains statistics on all errors or inconsistencies that exist
Provides recommendations for improvements and assists in implementing improvement plans tracking the status of efforts and following the Plan Do Check Act methodology
Creates monthly statistical analyses which supports the department performance improvement initiatives
Prepares, creates and develops reports to support organizational initiatives such as, Revenue Cycle Committee and Denials Task Force contributing to a positive impact on system and department goals
Manages the distribution of the reports and validates the accuracy and reliability of the data being presented
