General Manager

OneWater Marine is seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to oversee the daily operations of our dealership and marina. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and profitable operation of the facility, managing a team of employees, and delivering excellent customer service. The General Manager will also work to drive sales growth, maintain operational excellence, and uphold the high standards that OneWater Marine is known for in the marine industry.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Ensures the location effectively follows a successful Selling, Servicing, Parts, and F&I process and paperwork that ensures that the customer has an excellent buying experience.

Effectively establishes the selling price for units, as part of desking the deal; including successfully establishing ACV (trade appraisals, reconditioning) through set company standards

Learns and applies new and learned selling skills, strategies and techniques on a daily, monthly, and yearly basis. Shares, mentors, encourages, and acknowledges team members

Monitors OneWater sales, service, and parts goals and supervises/prioritizes work to achieve progress towards goals against key performance indicators

Takes the lead on merchandising inventory and supports the marketing of products, preparing for shows, positioning, and advertising activities (including lot and showroom layout)

Actively participates in boat shows, store and off-site sales and customer events

Oversee the day-to-day operations of both the dealership and marina to ensure smooth and efficient functioning.

Ensure the facility is maintained in top condition, including repairs, landscaping, and cleanliness of the marina and dealership areas.

Manage the facility's budget, ensuring efficient use of resources and adherence to financial targets. Monitor and control operating costs, including labor, supplies, and maintenance.

Hire, train, and manage staff, including sales personnel, service technicians, dockhands, and other marina or dealership employees. Ensure that all employees are properly trained in safety protocols, compliance regulations, and industry best practices.

Skills

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop a team.
  • Excellent financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and profit/loss analysis.
  • High-level organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong customer service orientation with the ability to resolve issues and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, dealership management software, and CRM systems.

Qualifications / Requirements

  • At least 5 Years of experience as a manager
  • Valid driver's license
  • Must pass background check and drug test
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Bachelor's degree in management, business, or a related field preferred
