The Business Development Representative will be responsible for selling high quality personal protective equipment to authorized distributors in a competitive market against established competitors. Must be willing to prospect and find new opportunities, service and grow existing customer accounts, and have strong closing skills. The ideal candidate must be a highly motivated, team-oriented individual with a desire for high personal achievement and winning. We are looking for a competitive individual who can grow assigned accounts, take direction, be flexible, and who works well in a fast-paced environment. Previous sales experience, negotiating, closing, or account management is helpful.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:
- Make 60 outbound sales calls daily to generate new business from new and existing customers in assigned territory.
- Developing and building relationships is a critical component of this role.
- Assist in managing the sales process of providing pricing, order tracking, and complaint resolution.
- This role will include heavy call and email volume.
Requirements:
Education and/or experience & other skills and abilities include the following:
- Bachelor's Degree or 5+ years of inside sales experience, preferably in a phone sales environment
- Microsoft Office proficient
- Excellent phone skills/etiquette
- Assertive and experienced in conflict resolution
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with Prophet 21 is a plus
- Proficiency with maintaining up to date contact information in our CRM (HubSpot).
- Territory/account management skills
- Willingness to travel 2-3 times annually
