You'll be joining a fast-paced Discovery Analytics Team where the mission is simple: put powerful, intuitive software tools in the hands of analysts and operators as quickly as possible. Your primary focus will be frontend UI development, but this role offers plenty of opportunity to work across the full stack and explore a wide range of technologies along the way.
You'll work directly with the analysts and operators who use your tools every day - gathering their feedback, understanding their mission, and turning that insight into software that genuinely reduces friction and helps them do their jobs better. This isn't a team that sits in isolation. You'll collaborate constantly with teammates and across other teams, contributing to a culture of fast iteration and meaningful impact.
If you're someone who gets excited about solving a problem even before you know how you're going to solve it, you'll fit right in here.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Developing frontend UIs that display complex user data in clear, intuitive ways Communicating directly with users to gather feedback and integrate it into your software solutions Taking the time to deeply understand the mission your customers are working to accomplish Collaborating regularly with team members and other teams across the program Automating workflows to reduce manual effort and increase mission efficiency Tackling new problems with confidence, even when the path forward isn't immediately obvious Requirements
3 years of software engineering experience, with a B.S. in a technical discipline - or 7 years of experience in lieu of a degree Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and HTML/CSS Hands-on experience developing with modern UI frameworks such as React, Angular, or similar Familiarity with relational databases (PostgreSQL, SQLite, MySQL, or similar) Working knowledge of basic Docker containerization Experience using Git for version control Comfort working in a Linux command-line environment An active TS//SCI clearance with polygraph Preferred Skills
CNO experience Experience with non-relational databases such as Elasticsearch or MongoDB Knowledge of additional programming languages, including Java, Python, Bash, or PowerShell Experience with other frontend or backend frameworks such as Vue, FastAPI, Spring Boot, or similar Data science and/or machine learning experience DevOps experience, including GitLab CI, CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes, or Ansible AWS or other cloud provider certification Benefits at Bitwise
